1/7/14 14:44It was a long haul from Maine to Nevada. A very long haul. But Blades had made it in record time with his precious cargo intact.
It was a bit of a harrowing journey for the small rescue copter. He wasn't used to flying long distances without his human partner, Dani, but unfortunately while she was qualified to know about Cybertronians, she still didn't have the security clearance to know about the location of the Unit:E base. It would have been great if they could have just used the GroundBridge to transport the cargo, but apparently the machinery he was transporting wouldn't react well with it. Given Griffin Rock's track record with technology, Blades wasn't exactly surprised.
He slowly lowered himself to the ground until the crate hanging below him gently touched down, several human soldiers arriving to assist in unhitching it. Finally relieved of his cargo of Griffin Rock tech, Blades finally settled onto his skids with a sigh, giving his well-worked rotors a rest.
A human in a suit approached, raising a hand in greeting. "I'm Special Agent Fowler, human-Autobot liaison. Don't worry about transforming, we all know your secret here."
With a whirr and click of shifting parts, Blades was soon kneeling in front of the human, offering a finger for the man to shake. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Agent Fowler."
"Likewise." Shaking the large, white finger, Agent Fowler stood back with his hands on his hips. "Ratchet's not in at the moment, but if you wait around he can send you back home via GroundBridge and save you the long trip back."
"That would be nice," Blades replied, drooping in relief. "I can barely feel my rotors."
"There's energon in the Autobot hangar if you want to rest and refuel."
Blades beamed and thanked Fowler before heading into the large hangar. The large, empty hangar. Sure it had computers and equipment in it, but no Autobots. The Rescue Bots may have chosen to stay on Earth with their human friends, but actually seeing physical evidence that the other Autobots had gone back to Cybertron was kind of... lonely.
Well, he had better refuel! Hopefully Ratchet wouldn't be too long in returning.

1/7/14 23:11 (UTC)These days she spent most of her free time moping about the Unit:E base - Ratchet wasn't Bulkhead, and there wasn't any kind of exciting action like there used to be, but she couldn't just up and stop going there. After all, what if Bulkhead showed up again and she missed it? Not that she thought Bulky would show up and leave without letting her know, but irrational teenage worries kind of disregard logic...
The sound of echoing footsteps pulled her out of an idle daze she was in, staring at a half-finished drawing she'd started. The footfalls sounded different from Ratchet's, and were definitely too light to be Bulkhead's.
Something was up! So Miko sneaks off to investigate, and in short order spies a white and orange robot looking around. He's got an Autobot emblem, but he's not anyone she's heard about.
So like any reasonable person would totally do, Miko steps out of hiding and leans against the post she had been using for cover. "Hey! You got clearance to be in here, flybot?"

Best. Actor. Ever.

10/7/14 04:42 (UTC)"Oh wow, you're not fooling anybody, guy!" Her laughing dies down to snickering, and she plants her hands on her hips. "I'm Miko."

12/7/14 00:06 (UTC)"Er-" He freezes, tapping the tips of his fingers together nervously. "I'm... guessing you know about Autobots and aliens and stuff already, huh?" He hopes. Otherwise he just made a huge mistake. Whoops.

23/7/14 03:47 (UTC)...well, that took a sad turn. Miko wilts a little bit, and tries not to think about Bulkhead not being here.
(Spoilers, she fails.)
